Sad News Report: Yankees Head Coach Aaron Boone Has Been Fired Today….

It’s widely believed that Gleyber Torres and Marcus Stroman, the starting pitcher for the Yankees, don’t get along. Though there have been no reports to support this, based on what you can see, it appears like both players have recently interacted.

During a recent series in Toronto against the Blue Jays, Stroman was observed yelling at Torres for failing to convert a simple double play. Due to this, Stroman and Aaron Judge, the captain of the Yankees, had a conversation in which Judge warned the pitcher not to show up for his teammates on the field.

Torres was not shown by Stroman during his Friday start at Yankee Stadium against Toronto, as the second baseman only observed what he believed to be a home run land for a single. Rather, WFAN anchor Peter Hoffman feels that Stroman, who gave up seven runs in his first two and a third innings of work, orchestrated a backroom operation to compel Yankees manager Aaron Boone to remove Torres from the game.

Hoffman stated via Audacy, “I want to see some repercussion, so I think what (Stroman) probably did was talk to Boone and say, ‘if I’m out, Torres gotta be out, since there was a run that would have benefitted us.

Shortstop Anthony Volpe hit a line drive into the corner for a double a few batters after Torres’ baserunning error, and Torres was thrown out at home plate while attempting to score from first. If he had legged out a double while he was on second, he would have easily scored.
