Longhorns Report Sad News: Longhorns Four-Star Player Terminated Their Contract After Quarrelling With Coach

With several elite prospects scheduled to make selections in August, the Texas Longhorns’ recruiting trail is expected to be at its most crucial during the 2025 cycle.

Five-star athletes Michael Terry, five-star safety Jonah Williams (August 24), five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi (August 21), four-star defensive tackle DJ Sanders (August 8), and five-star receivers Jaime Ffrench (August 30) and Kaliq Lockett (August 7) are among those players.

Another key target, four-star offensive lineman Nick Brooks of Grayson (Loganville, GA), has already disclosed that he will choose his college this month.

“Today, it could be any of the three schools,” Brooks said to Chad Simmons of On3. “Different schools are on my priority list at different times. Because of the relationships and the fact that I really like all three, it has been erratic, but I want to decide quickly,” Brooks stated. “I knew this month will bring about my commitment, but I had assumed it would happen sooner.”

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Brooks is rated as the No. 17 offensive tackle in the nation and as the No. 30 player in Georgia.
