Metallica Members Perform Cover Of Neil Diamond’s Tittle….

During Sunday’s (August 4) gig at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo covered Neil Diamond’s 1969 hit song “Sweet Caroline”.

After Metallica had performed six songs, including a version of their 72 Seasons classic “Screaming Suicide,” Trujillo and Hammett performed “Sweet Caroline.”

James Hetfield of Metallica is heard addressing the crowd in a fan-shot video that Trujillo and Hammett were “gonna entertain you for a moment.” Then he said, “Have fun.”

Then Trujillo declared, “Kirk and I prefer to have a jam at this point in the show. This song is quite heavy and frightening, so if you start moshing, try not to hurt yourself. I know this song is scary already.
