Hard work in the dark’ paying off for Sooners Name….
Fall camp for Oklahoma football is seeing an improvement in leadership and decision-making due to the offseason work done by Jackson Arnold.
NORMAN — During the offseason, Woodi Washington provided Jackson Arnold with a direct message that included the following wise words: pressure is only applied to you.
Arnold asserted that the late Los Angeles Lakers great and five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant was the source of the phrase. It might have been a little bit of a misquote from Bryant, whose best-known statement regarding pressure is that it “does not exist.” Those are self-inflicted pressures. They are homemade. It’s the mind at work. We put ourselves under strain.”
Therefore, even though the quote might not have been perfect, the idea was still the same. As Arnold gets about to begin his first season as the Sooners’ head coach, it was a fitting message from one of Oklahoma’s most seasoned players to the new face of the program.
