Five Florida State Seminoles Honored on National…..
On Thursday, three Seminoles were added to the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Watch List: defensive lineman Sione Lolohea, running back Lawrance Toafili, and quarterback DJ Uiagalelei. Defensive lineman Patrick Payton and offensive lineman Darius Washington are on the Lombardi Award Watch List, which is given to the best offensive or defensive lineman.
Native of Pinellas Park, Toafili ran 69 times last season for 463 yards and four touchdowns. He also added 21 receptions for 186 yards and one score. In 2023, he ran for a career-high 118 yards and the game’s lone touchdown in FSU’s 16-6 victory over Louisville, the Noles’ 16th ACC title in program history, earning him the title of ACC Championship Game MVP.
