ESPN REPORT: Alabama Lose A Mega-Star To Ohio State….
The committed running back from Alabama, Carlos Locklyn, is scheduled to visit Ohio State for the first time.
Carlos Locklyn, the Ohio State running backs coach, got things going right away when he moved to Columbus in April. He promptly extended scholarship offers to many 2025 running backs, Anthony Rogers of Alabama being one of them. When Locklyn was the running backs coach at Oregon, he had extended an offer of a scholarship to Rogers.
Rogers told Bucknuts he wasn’t sure if he would visit Ohio State when the offer was made.
On today’s program, we discuss a variety of Ohio State subjects, such as how the team’s chances of winning the national championship are getting better, our thoughts on Trey McNutt, Marvin Harrison Jr.’s lawsuit from Fanatics, and much more.
Dave Biddle is joined by Dan Rubin on the podcast today as we discuss a variety of Ohio State-related subjects. Among the items in the docket are:
* The Buckeyes’ odds of winning the 2024 national championship were +425 when we recorded the show last Monday. That was a better chance than OSU had in late April—+500. Now, however, the chances have increased once more. Now, Ohio State is favored to win it all at +350, trailing only Georgia at +325. After that, it’s a significant jump to Texas, the club with the third-lowest chances at +750. Next up is Oregon at +900. Simply said, we find it intriguing that while the odds for the great majority of other teams have remained stable, the Buckeyes’ odds seem to be getting better every week.

* Is there a chance Ohio State may lose Na’eem Offord, the #2 cornerback in the country? Or is he simply enjoying the process and this is nothing to be concerned about?
* This one caught us off guard: Marvin Harrison Jr. is being sued by Fanatics, who say he violated a “term sheet” agreement the previous year.* Mike Conley Jr.’s NBA career is still going strong and is, to be honest, underappreciated. In Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals last night, the Minnesota Timberwolves, led by 36-year-old starting point guard Conley, defeated the Denver Nuggets, the reigning NBA champions. Conley assisted in leading the Buckeyes to the 2007 national title game seventeen years ago.

Is there a worry that Ohio State could lose Na’eem Offord, the number-two cornerback in the country? Alternatively, is he simply enjoying the process and there’s no need to worry?
This is one that caught us off guard: Fanatics is suing Marvin Harrison Jr. on the grounds that he violated a “term sheet” agreement from the previous year.* Mike Conley Jr. is still having a fantastic NBA career that is, to be honest, underappreciated. The Minnesota Timberwolves, led by 36-year-old starting point guard Conley, defeated the Denver Nuggets, the reigning NBA champions, in Wednesday night’s Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals.
