ESPN : Les Red Sox terminent 86 millions de signatures avec les Yankees.
The outfielder for the New York Yankees, Alex Verdugo, has recently openly blasted the Boston Red Sox, his former team, for their roster-building strategy. Verdugo, who voiced his dissatisfaction with the Red Sox’s decision-making during the previous few trade deadlines, was traded by the Yankees this winter.
An Uncommon Exchange Amongst Rivals
Verdugo went from the Red Sox to the Yankees this past offseason in an unusual transaction between the two rival teams. Verdugo was traded by the Yankees to Boston for three pitching prospects. Since then, Verdugo has been playing well, posting a 2024 line of.261/.317/.432 while playing good defense.
Verdugo wants a more aggressive strategy to win, which is why he criticizes the Red Sox. He had pleasant memories of the Red Sox’s 2021 campaign, when they were a winning club and advanced to the ALCS. It feels wonderful to be winning in Boston with all of those supporters. My favorite year was 2021, according to Verdugo.
