In the three years since Michigan football’s disappointing 2-4 finish in the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign, the Wolverines have amassed a 40-3 record, one national championship, and three Big Ten titles.

Sherrone Moore, who became the program’s 21st head coach earlier this year after joining as tight ends coach in 2018, now has the duty to carry on that success. The Michigan coach talked about how Michigan has changed after one of the worst seasons in recent memory when he appeared on The L.A.B., a Champions Circle podcast produced by Jake Butt in collaboration with Wolverine Boots.

Yes, that was the scheme, they say. From an offensive point of view, we employed same tactics. We simply performed them more effectively. We performed them more skillfully. We did make a scheme tweak on defense, and it was beneficial. Additionally, not only did we have excellent coaches on staff, but we also brought in excellent coaches. However, the players performed exceptionally well because they bought into the plan.Overall, it was an attitude that the athletes possessed, and they were the ones who really elevated it.
