ESPN REPORT: Caitlin Clark Has Just Receive A Strong Warning Message From The Former Indiana Fever….
In her home debut on Thursday, Caitlin Clark was unable to have much of an impact as the Indiana Fever lost 102–66 to the New York Liberty.
However, while she struggles to adjust to life in the WNBA, the starlet did display glimpses of her talent, finishing with nine points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Before she can begin to play at her best on the court, Clark said she still needs to get used to the toughness of the league.
I find the game to be a touch too quick at the moment. It will pick up a little speed as I play more and get more at ease. According to ESPN, she stated, “It will be easier for me to make reads and see things develop.”
Gainbridge Fieldhouse was sold out to watch Clark make her home debut. 17,247 people saw the 22-year-old take her maiden steps in the league. Fans of Fever gave Clark a standing ovation at her introduction prior to tip-off.
According to WNBA.com, Clark stated, “People are excited.” “People on the streets are dressed in fever gear, just like it was when I drove by.
“Not just for this game tonight, but for the entire season, you can just feel the excitement and buzz around this team.” Lisa Bluder and Jan Jensen, Clark’s former University of Iowa coaches, were present to witness their former standout player.
After leading the Hawkeyes for 24 years, the 63-year-old Bluder announced her retirement earlier this week. She ended her tenure as the most successful women’s basketball coach in Big Ten history. The following season, Jensen would assume the position of head coach.
