SAN DIEGO In the second game of their four-game series, the Milwaukee Brewers will look to recover from a depressing ninth-inning loss to the San Diego Padres on Friday night at Petco Park.
The Padres, who have won their past three games by walk-off home runs, respond with right-hander Dylan Cease (6-6, 3.95), while right-hander Colin Rea (6-2, 3.29) starts for the Brewers (44-31). Milwaukee also optioned right-hander Bradley Blalock to Class AA Biloxi and returned right-hander Jakob Junis from the 60-day injured list.
Blalock became the seventh player for the Brewers this season to make his major-league debut on Thursday.
On Friday, the Brewers game begins at 8:40 p.m.
