Breaking: 21-year-old Daniel Oyegoke Rejects 85.6 Million To Hearts….
The 21-year-old, who was on loan at League Two’s Bradford City last season, has agreed to a three-year deal with the Scottish Premiership team.
Steven Naismith, head coach of Hearts, commended Oyegoke, who was born in Barnet, for his readiness to take on challenges in Scottish football. He said on the club website, “What’s really impressed me is his desire to progress his career.”
“He’s not comfortable just standing still in a safe environment, he wants to forge a career and advance to a higher level, and I expect him to do that with Hearts.”
After spending four years in the Arsenal development academy, Oyegoke joined Brentford in 2021. Prior to spending six months on loan at League One’s MK Dons, he was a fixture in Neil MacFarlane’s B squad, a former Hearts midfielder.
After that, he made 28 appearances for Bradford in the previous campaign, just missing out on the League Two playoffs.
In the interim, he has played for England at the under-16 and under-20 levels. He was a member of the squad that won the 2022 Under-19 European Championship and was a constant in the Under-20s World Cup the previous year.
