While sprinting to first base in the bottom of the ninth inning of the June 27 game against the Miami Marlins, Harper strained his left hamstring.
Rob Thomson likened Brandon Marsh’s hamstring injury from a few weeks ago to that of Harper. Although Thomson stated he is optimistic Harper will return in ten to fourteen days, he did not provide a timeframe for Harper’s homecoming. Regarding Harper’s wound, Thomson remarked, “We escaped a bullet.”

Due to left groin stiffness, Schwarber was taken out of the game against the Marlins in the ninth inning on June 27. Running to back up a ball that slipped past left field shortstop Edmundo Sosa caused him to get hurt.
Schwarber’s groin issue is “very, very mild,” according to Thomson. The Phillies anticipate Schwarber’s absence to be brief, much like Harper’s.
