Agreement Deal: Paul George Agree Contract With 76ers Worth About 250 Million” After….
NBA player Paul George appears to be joining the Philadelphia 76ers.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported on X that the nine-time NBA All-Star had traded Los Angeles for the Philadelphia 76ers. The free agent “has agreed on a four-year, $212 million maximum contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, sources tell ESPN.” George, 34, made the decision to forego the final year of his deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, creating the opportunity for him to sign with a different team.
“We have been informed by Paul that he is joining a new team,” the Clippers stated in a statement that was made public by the New York Post. We spent months working with Paul and his agent to come to an agreement on a contract that would benefit both of us, but our differences kept us apart. There was a big difference. Paul’s decision to explore elsewhere for his next contract is respected and understood by us.
His present residence is in the Los Angeles district of Pacific Palisades, which he purchased in 2019—the year he signed with the Clippers—for $16.1 million.
